Hand-crochet purse/bag made with mixed yarns, combining hues of blue, lime, fuchsia, green, pink, gold, orange, dark grey and baby blue. Hand-beaded and embelished by me with multicolor sequins, various sizes pearl beads, two different style/pattern gold plated stainless steel 18/10 chains (rust-proof that hold the polish well) and a center applique ornament in gold and magenta/violet tone.
Double linning inside. One with wool felt in the color red and a second in baby blue 100% satin fabric. Zipper closing in black fabric, with vintage brass metallic details.
This truly astonishing purse/bag measures 12" inches wide - 30.5 cm, 9" inches tall - 23 cm, 14.5" inches diagonal lenght - 37 cm. You can put inside your cell phone, an extra coin purse, a pack of tissues, a small vanity pouch (a compact powder, your lipsticks, a mascara) and of course your keys.
A little secret for us girls? I hand sewn and placed a small, hand crochet pocket inside, in the color red with much given space, so that you can tuck in any item you want to have immediate access to it. This amazing handbag is THE PERFECT bag for morning and evening special occasion events. I started knitting my first beanie hat on a cold winter night, while resting near the warmth of the stove in my home. Without noticing it, hours passed and I had remembered all of those times when as a litlle girl I sat on the sofa near my mom, watching her knit all kinds of beautiful shawls, scarfs, beanies, socks, gloves, even chunky sweaters.
I can still recall how amazed I was by watching a plain thread of yarn shape into something extraordinary. The following morning I held in my hands my first home-handmade beanie hat!
