I started knitting my first beanie hat on a cold winter night, while resting near the warmth of the stove in my home. Without noticing it, hours passed and I had remembered all of those times when as a litlle girl I sat on the sofa near my mom, watching her knit all kinds of beautiful shawls, scarfs, beanies, socks, gloves, even chunky sweaters.
I can still recall how amazed I was by watching a plain thread of yarn shape into something extraordinary. The following morning I held in my hands my first home-handmade beanie hat!
